Architects continue to use drawings to communicate their ideas to clients, craftsmen, and other members of the design team. With the advance in technology, architects moved from paper to digital drawings with the help of software. In a study from top architecture software developer Autodesk, 70% say using BIM reduces project errors, 64% say it helps deliver higher quality creative projects, and 56% say it increases client satisfaction. However, each architectural design software is targeted at different needs and the ideal one for you may be determined by a number of factors, including cost, compatibility with other programs, and the amount of time you want to spend on the drawing process. AutoCAD

Construction engineers and architects have long relied on AutoCAD, thanks to creator Autodesk's inclusion of specific building design and architectural toolkits. Architecture professionals can expect to save time and money by using AutoCAD. With the integration of automatic object production and pre-built items, the application speeds up the design process. Civil 3D adds a civil engineering touch to the platform by allowing you to develop 3D model-based designs and surroundings. It has a streamlined, design-driven documentation pipeline for keeping collaborative projects on track. The integration of survey photos with landscape models, roadways, service schematics, and constructional geometry is just one of the capabilities this software offers.

Revit Architecture

Autodesk’s BIM-focused solution is Revit, one of the best architect software tools available for AutoCAD users who need Building Information Modeling capabilities. The 3D architectural software will help structural and MEP engineers, as well as those in construction, because it allows for building design, modelling and coordination and it also includes collaboration capabilities when a team is working on the same scheme. Designers using Revit work with objects rather than a vector between two points. Study BA Architecture at BI

The learning environment fostered at Berlin International is student-centered and hands-on. The first year of the BA Architecture program provides students with a broad foundation in basic design skills, structural and construction fundamentals, visualization skills, and a historical framework. In the second year, students deepen their structural and material knowledge, tackle architectural design projects, and reflect on the discipline of architecture from a theoretical vantage point. They also get the chance to integrate their acquired knowledge into the larger context of urban design and planning. During the third year, students collaborate with peers from other programs on an interdisciplinary design project to develop a tailored design solution for a real-life client. In addition, they hone their research skills, learn about building law and physics, and sharpen their profile by choosing a variety of electives. The last year is dedicated to subjects that prepare students for their imminent entry into professional life. During the last semester, students apply and deepen their acquired skills by completing a bachelor thesis and a bachelor design project with a topic of their own choice.

Architects have a wide variety of job opportunities. Our graduates can work on the creation and alteration of design and building projects in various scales and typologies as well as in the artistic and creative industries.
