A message from Prof. Yüksel Pöğün-Zander, PhD, President of Berlin International
A short message from our Honorary President Dr. hc mult. Hans-Dieter Klingemann
Berlin International (BI) sees itself as a university of applied sciences of a small to medium size with an interdisciplinary focus on design and business administration. Since its foundation in 2014, our academic institution has followed the same vision: First, we want to stimulate and develop the student's intellectual curiosity, creativity, and professional skills. Aiming at an interdisciplinary approach that enables them to cope with innovation and contribute to societal problem-solving. This means we are looking forward to our students.
Second, we want to promote cross-national and cross-cultural understanding. We believe this is indispensable in a globalizing world. Cultural competence is a precondition to navigating today's multicultural landscape. What is required is tolerance, mutual understanding, and commitment to protect the unalienable individual human rights. This orientation is enshrined in Berlin International's general principles: Interdisciplinarity, Internationality, and Interculturality.
