The task for SOUND OF BERLIN Design Project 2 is to design a specialist shop for musical instruments including a display for the instrument of choice and an additional function like a workshop, repair, support, venue for events, bar, etc.
The project explores the conceptual aspects of atmospheres and display alternatives which then inform the design solutions.

Lisa Forster transforms typical elements from a double bass into spatial features of her shop. The choice of cool, subdued surfaces let the presented instruments with their warm, organic character take center stage.
