Graphic Design graduate presents at TypeThursday
Graphic Design and Visual Communication graduate Yana Vekshyna gave a talk on bilingual graphic design at a TypeThursday event, hosted at the famous Berlin-based type design studio Lucas Fonts.
Yana focuses on designing with Cyrillic, Latin, and Arabic script. She also addressed the colonization of script, and ways to de-colonialize type through visual communication design. Her recent book publication “Cyrillize It!” impressively proves her expertise in the field.
Irina Madan, who is in the TypeThursday Berlin team and also a Graphic Design and Visual Communication student at Berlin International, organized and chaired the evening. We are proud to see our graduates and students actively contributing to Berlin’s professional design scene!
