BI Talk with Florian Zierer

We are thrilled to announce that the first BI Talk of the fall semester 2024 will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at 17:00. Our guest for this exciting event is Florian Zierer from Caruso St John Architects, who will deliver a presentation titled “In Conversation”.

During this talk, Florian will discuss how architectural projects are always in dialogue with their surroundings through extensions, conversions, or new builds. He will share insights from recent projects highlighting the importance of conversation between architecture and its context.

After the presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion. We invite students from all disciplines to join this engaging cross-disciplinary exchange. You are also welcome to arrive early for some snacks before the talk begins!

About the speaker

Florian Zierer has been with Caruso St John Architects in London since 2006 and became a partner in 2013. He studied architecture at TU Braunschweig and ETSA Madrid and has worked with Hans Kollhoff in Berlin. Florian is currently co-running the Zurich office of Caruso St John alongside Michael Schneider.
