Right after the final presentations in the Typography and Layout course, the tutors Prof. Alexander Tibus, Anna Bernhard and Martin Hinze took the first semester Graphic Design and Visual Communication students to an exhibition showcasing 700 record cover designs. “Broken Music Vol. 2” in the modern art museum Hamburger Bahnhof presents graphic design at its finest. The show explains the backgrounds of various artists’ cover artworks, whereas wireless headphones allow listening to the records. Sound installations, vinyl record-related artworks and listening stations complemented the extensive record cover collection.
