Graphic Design students screening Tillmans show
Once again, the Graphic Design and Visual Communication students benefited from Berlin's diverse gallery landscape. Lecturer Kalinka Gieseler organized a special viewing of photographs by contemporary artist Wolfgang Tillmans “in real life”. This has been a lucky coincidence, since a publication by this photographer is the starting point of the course Photography and Image Processing.
The Daniel Buchholz gallery kindly opened its doors for us in this frosty December week and we visited this highly recommended solo show. The students gained a special insight into the diverse working methods and the unconventional forms of presentation and expression of Tillmans.
A lively and very inspiring exhibition for all of us — thanks to Wolfgang Tillmans and many thanks to Daniel Buchholz and team!
