About Peter Glassen
Peter Glassen is a brand consultant and semiotician. His roots are in the practice of visual communication.
At the University of Basel, he wrote his doctoral thesis on "Brand Myth." His dissertation is a media studies examination of the brands Nike, Adidas and Puma. The work deals with mythologically staged images in brand advertising.
Today Peter Glassen advises and accompanies companies and organizations in the scientific-strategic development of their brand identity. As part of an international community of semioticians, he specializes in the analysis and synthesis of cross-cultural codes and signs.
Glassen is also the founder of semiotics.ch, the Swiss expert network for applied semiotics.
