BI Talk with Nettra Pan
The fourth BI Talk of the fall semester 2024 will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 18:00. We are excited to host Nettra Pan from Bayes Business School, who will present “Entrepreneurship & Identity, Explaining Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Venture Investment Using Identity Constructs”.
This talk will explore the complex motivations behind entrepreneurship.

About the talk
Why do people start businesses? What drives the different decisions entrepreneurs make in areas like market selection, intellectual property, and recruitment? In this talk, Dr. Pan will share her initial academic inspiration and introduce fresh perspectives on identity research in fields such as venture capital investing and the metaverse.

About the speaker
Dr. Nettra Pan is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Bayes Business School, with a rich background in research and academia. She completed her doctorate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2018 and has held positions as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Northeastern University and EPFL. Her research focuses on individual and organizational identity, and she has studied the tensions between commercial and non-commercial imperatives in diverse settings, such as technology startups and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).
