Winning Group of MBA Company Challenge
The third round of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Company Challenge has just ended. Three groups of the MBA students took on three missions in the framework of the Entrepreneurship Project course in cooperation with Lindner Esskultur, the famous Berlin-based gourmet company.
Their tasks involved gaining a profound understanding of the market, how supply chains operate, and how optimizations may look. Changing market conditions call for innovative solutions, and a clear segmentation is paramount for a successful approach. Every year, Berlin International and Lindner Esskultur come together in Prof. Dr. Erick Behar-Villegas' course, seeking a group that accomplishes outstanding work.
This year, the group of Ava D., Diana S., Soniya S., Radek P., and Yash K. reached a milestone. For Prof. Dr. Erick Behar-Villegas, "it is not just about winning a competition. This is about thinking outside the box, and this group managed to bring in storytelling, elements of branding, and a clear-cut perspective on market segmentation to build a powerful storyline while honoring the difficulty of the three missions, which involve logistics. For the jury, the result was clear".
Activities such as the company challenge, which involved a very cozy visit to Lindner's facilities and a sneak peek into their lovely food last year, allow students to gain better practical insights regarding the life of a business. This includes its challenges and also its company culture.
Prof. Dr. Erick Behar-Villegas concludes, "we are very happy to see how students use the power of storytelling to approach problem-solving. This is also pure innovation, a cornerstone of our MBA".
