“Hello, my name is Rabih. I’m 26 years old and I’m originally from Lebanon. I came here to BI in order to fulfill my studies in international management and marketing. I used to study as an electrical engineer but I found that coming here and adding that business knowledge at BI especially will further my career.
If I was to think about the best experiences that I’ve had at Berlin International I would say that the friend-making aspect that I’ve had so far here has been amazing. The diversity that I’ve experienced just adds a lot of other dimensions that I’ve never experienced before. Where I come from, we don’t have this high degree of diversity but when I came here it’s been amazing meeting all of these people. And if I was to probably highlight a key aspect here or like a key moment - I met a German friend who has been amazing and he’s been showing me around all of Berlin and I’ve been loving this experience so far. So I definitely cherish that moment.
There can never be any one reason why I chose Berlin International. There are a multitude of reasons, actually. From a personal aspect, I just wanted to further my career from a business standpoint but then when I found out more about Berlin International and I read about it and saw some YouTube videos, those things inspired me. These videos, specifically that maybe I’m performing right now as well, have inspired me and showed me how genuine people have been during these interviews. And a lot of these people have been saying the same thing where everyone feels like they are at home, everyone feels like they are a family, what they’re studying feels more practical, they feel more involved and this is personally what I’m looking for in order to achieve my goal.
Studying at an international institution like Berlin International has given me a lot of different perspectives and a lot of different opportunities, whether be it within BI itself or outside as well. You could see that a lot when it comes to the classes; for example, when you have a lot of different viewpoints and a lot of different experiences. You get to see where everyone has gotten their experiences and they portray that and they show that to you during class, be it the students, the teachers, or even the staff that we meet and talk to every single day. The international aspect here has been amazing.
Studying at Berlin International has given me the platform that I would need in order to further my knowledge and enhance everything that I would need to build a future for myself. I do have a few thoughts in mind about what I would want to do and this has been an enormous and amazing foundation for the future. What I have in mind basically, at this point, is I want to get as much experience as I can from the teachers, from my fellow students. Everyone has been giving me amazing feedback, thoughts, and processes in order to further my knowledge. After I’m done with my studies at Berlin International, I would think of getting as much experience as I can and then a job as a manager. Later on, I would probably want to own and open my own company or maybe co-own with someone else. That’s my future goal.
I was in your shoes around a year ago at this point, this is November. And November of last year, I was watching these YouTube videos extensively and I was getting even more motivated to come to Berlin International. As I said, the genuineness that I’ve found here, everyone kept saying the same thing over and over again - I don’t think you can act when it comes to how people feel and this is what motivated me to come here. And if you are looking to study here, I would highly advise it, I definitely didn’t regret it. The moment I stepped into this campus, I loved every single person that I’ve met in my classes, the teachers, they have all been a great inspiration for me and I’ve been learning ever since. It’s been a month for me but I can say that I’ve learned way more than I ever could if I was to ever go to another institute.
At Berlin International, we are a group of people that are joined in a class. We’re not that big, we’re not filled with a lot of people in one class. We can actually talk to each other, talk to the teachers, and the teachers value you for being there. They give you constructive criticism on where to improve yourself and for me, that’s just amazing. And if you ever think of coming here, I really, really advise you to. Describing international management and marketing or maybe all the programs here, but I can just say from my own experience, I would say practical, involving, and friendly.”
