Berlin International University of Applied Sciences is now listed in Germany’s largest university ranking—the CHE University Ranking. The latest results of the university ranking from the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) have been published in the ZEIT Study Guide 2023/24 and on HeyStudium.

Germany’s “Die Zeit” weekly newspaper identifies Berlin International as standing out, according to student evaluation, in the Data Science & Business program, where “the supervision and support, the practical orientation, and the digital teaching elements are highly praised.”

About the CHE Ranking

The purpose of the CHE Ranking is to give prospective students valuable information for choosing the right degree program and the right university. In the ranking, a variety of facts, descriptive information, and judgments from students and professors are collected in order to provide a comprehensive picture of a degree program and the university. 

The ranking purposefully does not add the collected data results together to form an overall score. There is no such thing as “the best university.” Instead, the study presents several multidimensional lists based on greatly differing criteria in order to display the strengths and weaknesses of comparable universities. Therefore, the universities aren’t “ranked” individually but by subject and according to rating ranges (top, middle, or bottom) of individual criteria on a 5-star scale.

BA Business Administration | Human Resources Management & Leadership

The aim of the BA Human Resource Management & Leadership program is to develop a global business graduate with a well-rounded and state-of-the-art HR management and leadership expertise, and a skill set that can be adapted to different business settings. Students will learn how to manage a diverse workforce through topics such as intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, work engagement, continuous professional development, and performance management.
 

BA Business Administration | International Management & Marketing

Students of the BA International Management & Marketing program get to cover all major business administration fields, such as foundations of management and marketing, international business, digital business, and organizational theory. Simultaneously students further develop the all-important practice-oriented business skills, such as team building and conflict management, as well as critical thinking.
 

BA Data Science & Business

In the BA Data Science & Business program, students receive a thorough grounding in both management and data science, highlighting the interdependence of these two fields in a data-driven economy. Taking advantage of our location in Berlin — known for being the startup capital of Europe as well as the seat of many multinationals — the program’s focus on practical application is reflected in industry collaborations, for example with the Amazon Web Services Academy, of which Berlin International is a member.
 

Master’s programs

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The goal of the Master of Business Administration program is to prepare global professionals of diverse backgrounds with solid managerial knowledge, tools, and skills, strengthened by an alluring network, in order to create value in changing business environments. The MBA operates under the global iAccelerate network, which strengthens innovative entrepreneurial projects. It is flexible and project-based with a focus on entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship.
