Hauke Murken studied Industrial Design at the HdK Berlin. After working in the field of exhibition design he started the design trade Garage Blau. Hauke Murken works in cooperation alone for renowned German and international brands in the field of furniture and product design such as: Moormann, Stelton, Cor and WMF. His designs are award-winning and part of the exhibition of various museums as Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin, Neue Sammlung München or Cooper Hewitt Museum, New York. Hauke Murken gave lectures for different universities as UdK Berlin, Burg Giebichenstein Halle, Hochschule Dessau and Berlin International. He believes people should own less but better things and therefore he tries to design products with an outstanding usability, top quality and simple beauty.
