Daniel Valencia
Workshop Manager
Daniel (he/him/his, pronounced Dah-nyel) is a product designer from Spain who graduated from the University of Arts in Berlin. He specializes in researching and implementing Industry 4.0 strategies and utilizing digital manufacturing tools for rapid prototyping. He has been a part of the digital fabrication teams of artists like Julius von Bismarck and Olafur Eliasson. The primary focus of his work lies at the intersection of innovation and tradition. In his studio “Digital Craft DVF”, he works with additive technology and ceramic materials, pushing the boundaries of what digital tools can achieve while always respecting the traditions established by those who came before.
He has showcased his work at the London Design Fair 2023, and his work has been recognized with the Berlin State Competition Prize for Designing Crafts 2022. At BI , he serves as one of the Workshop Managers, overseeing the additive manufacturing machine pool and ensuring the smooth operation of the Photostudio.
