Student Council
The Student Council is elected each year by the students of Berlin International. According to BI's constitution (§18), the students are entitled to form their own representative body to represent their general interests. The Student Council has key functions, including electing students to voice and represent students' interests in the Academic Senate, communicating with the administration on behalf of the student body, and organizing student events.
For the Academic Year 2024/25, the following students were elected as regular members of the Student Council:
Aaisha Khan - MA Interior Architecture/Interior Design
I moved to this city with a deep passion for Interior Design and a strong determination to make the most of my academic journey. As a first-year MA Interior Architecture student at this university, I am not only focused on excelling in my studies but also on creating a meaningful impact within the campus community. I’ve always believed in the power of helping others, which is why I joined the Student Council. My dedication to supporting fellow students also extended to my time in the Student Council during my Bachelor's. Now, I am excited to continue this journey of growth, collaboration, and positive change, inspiring others along the way.
I truly believe we can create a better campus. I’m here to listen, lead, and take action on your ideas and concerns. Your voice matters, and together, we can make meaningful improvements. I’m eager to hear from you and committed to making a positive difference and building a stronger, more connected campus community.

Seyedali Amirkhalili - Master of Business Administration
My name is SeyedAli (Ali) Amirkhalili. I was born in 1994 in Damghan, a small city near Tehran, the capital of Iran. I come from Iran and have a diverse educational background. I graduated from high school with a focus on mathematics and later pursued Civil Engineering at Islamic Azad University of Semnan. After that, I started studying Transportation Engineering at Islamic Azad University of South Tehran. However, I decided to leave that field unfinished as I chose to immigrate for a fresh start and a new life experience.
Immigrating gave me the opportunity to explore a new field entirely, so I shifted my career path from engineering to business. Currently, I’m an advanced MBA student at Berlin International in Germany. My main interest in business lies in Human Resources Management and promoting well-being across all dimensions of business. One of my core values is building democratic and welfare-oriented systems wherever I work.
On a personal level, I have a strong passion for dance and music, which bring me joy and energy. I’m also a big fan of socializing with people and discovering the beauty of cultural differences and similarities. I believe every interaction is an opportunity to learn and grow.

Jocelyn Rita Licwinko - BA Interior Architecture/Interior Design
I am excited to join the Student Council and Research Committee at Berlin International University. As a student from West Chester, PA, USA, these roles allow me to not only learn from various communities around the world but also contribute my own perspectives to our community. I look forward to advocating for students and supporting innovative research in business and design! I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with my peers and to make a positive impact to BI!
